Funny man Shaun T. who is the producer of ONE FM 91.3’s #1 Breakfast Show with Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman, guest writes for us this week.
He’s mad about action movies so we decided to have him check out the latest offering from Ben Affleck, The Accountant.
Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations.
With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.
I loved it! I want this movie to win an Oscar!
I don’t know what it says about Ben Affleck but I think he plays an autistic man so well, it was almost natural to him.
What I loved was the way the whole story came together. Some will argue that it was too far fetched or complex but for me it has all the right elements. awkward romance, cold blooded killings and high tech geeky stuff.
Personally I’m an action movie fan, I love movies with lots of explosions and death defying stunts so because The Accountant doesn’t have a lot of those elements, to me it is not as uplifting as Gods of Egypt or London Has Fallen. No I’m serious….I really like Gods of Egypt and London Has Fallen.
None the less its still a good movie.
Rating: 4 bullets to the head
I would describe it has having a plate of hokkien mee but not with so much sambal, so its not like epic awesome but it makes you feel good
The Accountant opens in cinemas 13 Oct 2016
