American country pop singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has released the music video to her latest single, Mean from her third album, Speak Now.
The Declan Whitebloom directed video starts of with Taylor Swift and her band all dressed up in olden day clothing in front of a farmhouse playing with her on a banjo. The scene then switches to 3 different characters all being bullied and to Taylor Swift her self being tied up to train tracks by the bad guys. Later on the 3 bullied characters made it big with Taylor Swift herself escaping from the tracks.
While the video received mix reactions, definitely the video goes very well with the theme of the song which in her own words "this happens no matter what you do, no matter how old you are, no matter what your job is, no matter what your place is in life, there's always gonna be someone who's just mean to you. And dealing with that is all that you can control, how you handle it. This song is about how I handle it."
