Know Your Role

The 83rd Academy Awards tops my pick for this month. Having seen the films nominated for Best Picture, it was quite fitting "The King's Speech" won. But apart from all the winners, there are a few things that did catch our attention……..the red carpet and the hosts.

First let's look at the read carpet, my my some stars certainly took some risks didn't they but it's normal to see such things. There are always fashion disasters or rather fashion shockers.

Scarlett Johanson

She certainly showed off her curves in a body-hugging, plum-colored lace Elie Saab that had some viewers (especially me) wondering if it was see-through.

Helena Bohem Carter

I love this actress, shes got so much personality going in the things that she does. Wacky dresses, wild hair and awkward posing, she went for a Gothic look for the Oscars in a black velvet gown with cutout sleeves and a corset bodice. Looks like she just came from the Sweeney Todd set.

Amy Adams

I've never seen her as a glamour girl nor an emotional actress till I saw "The Fighter". My best memory of her has always been from her performance in "Enchanted" as the fairy tale princess. Combine her red hair and pale skin with a bold, blue, Asian-inspired dress by L'Wren Scott and $1.35 million worth of emerald jewels by Cartier and this was my favourite look of the Oscars!

That's not all that made the post Oscars headlines. A couple weeks ago, James Franco was asked about how was he was feeling in the buildup to his first time hosting the Academy Awards, one of the toughest gigs in all of entertainment. Franco said, "It's fine, it's like one night,", practically laughing at the question.

"So, it doesn't matter. Like, if I host the worst Oscar show in the history of the Oscars, like, what do I care, you know what I mean? I'll try my best, but I don't see any shame." Hmm…..well at that time I guess it was ok to have that attitude but watching him host on TV was a pain.

Don't get me wrong, I really like this actor. Loads of potential and he never became leading man material until "127 hours". I was happy he was nominated. Next to the gorgeous, lovely, no way in the world you could hate, Anne Hathaway, Franco was a stiff, he was boring and dull……or maybe he wasn't too happy about the Billy Crystal cameo. Opps, just speculating.

Still on the dramatic front……FINALLY THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO THE WWE

Well now i know why his character was killed off in "The Other Guys"

On February 14, Johnson returned to Raw and was revealed to be the host of WrestleMania. He stated that he was back on Raw, and that he was "back home" and "never, ever going away. Does this mean no more movies for him? Is he going to fight for the title soon?

You know, The Rock's return sparked me to start watching WWE again. I have really lost interest in it. In fact the last time I saw it was in 2003. It lost it's flair but now it's come back to life again. I'm really excited and i can't wait for Wrestlemania.
