With thanks to Warner Bros. Pictures Singapore, we have received new material on the upcoming science fiction movie, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. These include a short video which talks about the production for the movie and also some concept art from the story line itself.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a reboot/prequel of the original Planet of the Apes and is directed by Rupert Wyatt. It will act as a foundation with an origin story for a new film series.
In the film, James Franco plays a scientist who is working on a cure for Alzheimer's by testing the cure on apes. When one of the test subjects Caesar starts to mutate rapidly, the scientist takes him home to remove him from the other lab doctors.
The film is currently set for an August 2011 release.
