Marvel’s The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is the ultimate geek paradise and the most anticipated superhero movie of the year. It’s so big that the previous films will feel like campy cartoons in comparison.
That’s right, I’m saving you the trouble of reading this because there is no point. If you are not even remotely planning to watch this movie twice then really, what are you doing with your life?
Marvel’s The Avengers: Age Of Ultron – the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.
As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
This film is bigger and better yet at the same time more intimate. Joss Whedon doesn’t fail in any manner in delivering a fantastic sequel. Right from the first minute we get everything we’ve been dreaming of since the last movie, which is a well oiled machine that is The Avengers.
The dynamics have improved yet the same cracks we expect in this sort of an all star team up is ever present. The thing is, the team is bigger because there are more people involved now. War Machine, Falcon and a new Doctor is in as well but they don’t get in each others way and all that is just down to good script writing and everyone sticking to their roles. Really till today I still think this movie is impossible to do, with the superstars involved.
Unlike the previous movie, we see and learn a lot more about Hawkeye. His role on the team is much bigger than we expect but I don’t want to give too much away except to say that we will really grow to love this character and how Jeremy Renner has portrayed him.
Fans will also love the treatment of Vision and Paul Bettany’s performance. It was probably one of the most important scenes that I was waiting for throughout the movie and I was so thrilled at the way he was introduced. I think this was probably the trickiest character to do since Thor.
Overall this is a must see and if you missed out on all the other Marvel solo movies leading up to this, it really doesn’t matter as long as you caught the first movie. Joss has kept true to one other plot line which is leading up to the ultimate showdown between The Avengers and Thanos in Infinity war Part 1 and 2. You’re gonna have to watch this film and geek out to understand what I mean.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
So to sum things up, go watch this movie because Thor is really quite hilarious, Hawkeye has got the most heart and who would have thought we’d see a more sentimental side to Black Widow.
