Good news for all OPPO users in Singapore! With effect from 1 June 2015, OPPO Singapore, doubles its smartphone product warranty to 24 months.
It takes a company a lot of confidence in its product quality to take on such a bold initiative. Instead of the 12 months warranty offered by other smartphone brands such as Apple, Samsung and Sony, OPPO now is the first and only brand locally to offer double the warranty period. What does this mean for consumers? If your contract with your telco only allows you to upgrade your phone every 24 months, then your OPPO phone will always be under warranty for that period.
Sean Deng, Managing Director of OPPO Singapore said, “At OPPO, we take pride in giving the best to our consumers. This obsession to deliver only high quality innovative products and after-care services is the foundation of our brand. The warranty extension is another testament to that obsession.”
In addition to the overall warranty for smartphones, the one-for-one phone exchange period for consumers has always been extended. Unlike previously or with other smartphone brands, OPPO’s new warranty will allow consumers up to 30 days to perform one-for-one exchanges should you notice any hardware malfunction due to manufacturing defects with your phone during this period of time.
OPPO is also offering a one-time free-of-charge repair service for phones that have incurred accidental damage within the first year of the phone’s purchase, which is also a service currently exclusive to OPPO.
This new warranty policy only applies to OPPO’s new range of products purchased from 1 June 2015.
I don’t know about you, but I am long overdue for a phone upgrade. Though I’m pretty sure I can wait a couple of weeks before heading down to the OPPO Concept Store in Suntec City Mall to get a new phone. Alternatively, I could head to Singtel and M1 outlets, and other authorized retailers islandwide for the purchase.
