A harmless buzzer out of nowhere in the middle of a shopping centre, a curious child wondering what it is. Before long the hand pushes the buzzer and a sleepy, quiet, normal space in NEX turns into a mini basketball 3 on 3 match.
Not just anyone but 3 members of the Singapore Slingers (Tan Chin Hong, Wu Qingde and Larry Liew) takes on an all female basketball enthusiasts team (Sarah Lim, Chantelle Chua and Kate Cheung) as they dunk, shoot and pass in a make shift court.
With all the action of a match together added sound effects, its no wonder legs stop and heads turned to find out what is happening. Even just for that few minutes before everything dissappears, the job was done and a good job indeed. Even if it was a 5 minute mini match, there was this sense of excitment seeing real professionals play that can only be replicated on a real court that a TV or a big screen will never give you.
