Canadian singer & songwriter Nelly Furtado has released the music video for her latest single “Waiting For The Night” from her fifth studio album, “The Spirit Indestructible”. In the music video, Nelly Furtado does the tango with a male dance partner while being surrounded by female dancers with painted faces. Nelly herself has her face painted as well in some of the scenes.
The music video for “Waiting For The Night” was produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins who also did her previous singles “Parking Lot”, “Spirit Indestructible” and “Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)”. It was also revealed that the song was inspired by a diary Nelly kept as a smitten sixteen-year-old on a summer vacation having a crush on a boy.
