Since her début in 2000 with quartet girl group 4 in Love, one wonders how many hearts the Taiwanese Singer, Host, Actress has stolen even with her head turning “jellyfish” haircut in 2007. Having come a long way since then, the ever smiling and quick witted Rainie Yang showed her straightforward side which fans have loved, explaining to everyone at the press conference that it’s that time of the month for her and thus her tired outlook.
Despite that, Rainie still demonstrated that the many years in showbiz has taught her well as she explained how her latest album “A Tale of Two Rainie (雙丞戲)” represents her 2 styles, 2 directions and 2 locations in both New York and Taiwan.
With 9 Albums, 10 Television series, 5 films and numerous awards to her name, Rainie Yang seems to have done it all in her 15 years. Yet the petite artist explained that she has no plans for the future yet when asked where she sees herself in 10 years to come. Being one that “cross that bridge when one comes to it”, she prefers to see what life has in stored for her career and hopes to continue to strive to do better.
Although Rainie also hopes to find a good balance between her career and social life and she has been working too hard over the years. She did sought advice from her seniors in the industry who have advised her that as a celebrity, she needs to find the line between her public and private life. Even with that in mind, Rainie commented that she would still like to experience more of the little things in life.
When asked if she will continue her acting after last year’s “Love at Second Sight (一見不鍾情)”, Rainie replied candidly that currently there hasn’t been a script that has captured her attention with mostly of them being not up to standard. Although that might have been her fault as well she explained, having done so many television series and films that resulted in a high standard now.
Fans of Rainie Yang will also be pleased to know that while there are no plans yet for a concert this year, they can rest assured that she will not miss out Singapore having performed here for the past 2 concerts.
On behalf of POPCulture Online, we will like to wish Rainie Yang all the best for her future endeavours and to stay pretty always 😀
