There Was An Idea…

I am sure that by now fans around the world of superhero movies would have heard the line “There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people, so when we needed them, they could fight the battles that we never could…” just about a million times as they prepare for the release of Marvel’s The Avengers. Yup this is the line that Nick Fury says in the trailer for the movie and also one that caught my attention the most.

Not because its the way Samuel L Jackson says it as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. but because I can’t help but think about the humble beginnings of POPCulture Online. It all started with an idea and while it did look doomed for failure at times, the team pulled through and here we are at issue number 17. Ok I shall not get too long winded and emotional here.

The month of May is upon us which signals the start of the summer blockbuster season. Many highly anticipated movies are scheduled for release in the next few months and you can count on the POPCulture Online team to tell you what we think of them. Just like the movie that made most if not all comic book geeks wish come through, Marvel’s The Avengers.

We review the Queen of Pop’s latest album MDNA, tell you what we liked about the latest DLC, Teeth of Naros for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and give you a run through to prepare for the most talked about Role Playing Game for the PC & Mac, Diablo 3.

Not forgetting also a very special coverage all the way from the UK, POPCulture Online’s overseas correspondent goes on  The Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour. We also check out all the red carpet action from LA for the Marvel’s The Avengers premiere event and crown Cobie Smulders who plays Agent Hill in the movie, our babe of the month.

Yup it is one really packed May issue and even though a lot of time and effort has gone into it, the POPCulture Online team is happy to do it for you, our readers. After all, we have just crossed the unique 10,000 visitors in a month month mark and for that we want to take this time to thank all our working partners for their support and also our readers as well.

Definitely exciting times are ahead as we plan out for the summer blockbusters so do keep on checking back here at POPCulture Online.
