Australian pop artist KELSY KARTER has unveiled her new single “Ghost Town,” the first single from her forthcoming album. The single was produced by The Movement (James Bunton and Corron Cole), who are also credited with tracks like Justin Bieber’s “One Time” and Jesse McCartney’s “Tonight is Your Night.” “Ghost Town” is Kelsy Karter’s first release since 2012’s “Revolution.”
Currently residing in Los Angeles, Kelsy Karter has had the chance to collaborate with some of the world’s most talented and revered songwriters and musicians, giving her the opportunity to create a voice for herself that is both unique and classic all at once. Upon releasing “Ghost Town,” Kelsy has seen immediate praise and does not plan on slowing the pace for the remainder of 2013. To that end, she also recently made a guest vocal appearance on Infected Mushroom’s “Now is Gold,” released on July 16th via the new album Friends On Mushrooms, Vol. 2.
“‘Ghost Town’ is a pop song about love that touches on the question of insanity,” says Karter on the new single. “The lyrics are quite poetic and contain metaphors that give the song a lot of depth.”
