Justice Forever

It’s not quite your band of superheros considering what we’ve become used to seeing on the big screen but Kick-Ass 2 certainly takes a more interesting approach to crime fighting.

They’ve got no super powers but they certainly have a sense of justice and in the follow up to the first installment of the franchise, the world of superheros has just gotten a lot bigger. But in the midst of all that, let’s take a look at some of the key players of the superhero team, Justice Forever.

David Lizewski / Kick-Ass

pop 1

After his first unsuccessful attempt at superheroics ends in being beaten, mugged and hit by a moving car, he has several metal plates and braces surgically implanted within his body during the course of his hospitalization and recovery. This, along with the nerve damage he suffers during the event, provides him with the ability to be almost immune to pain, giving him an edge while fighting.

His only weapons are his twin batons that are wrapped in green electrical tape. In the sixth issue of Kick-Ass 2, he upgraded his twin batons by adding barbed wire around them. In the film version of Kick-Ass, he becomes adept at handling firearms. Due to not having fighting experiences in his life, he receives hand-to-hand combat training from Hit-Girl.

Mindy Macready / Hit-Girl

pop 2

Hit-Girl has been trained to take a bullet (shown with a bulletproof vest on), as well as in hand-to-hand combat and fighting with both blunt and bladed weapons. She has also been taught about guns, inventors of guns, and even action movies and action movie stars.

The nature of Hit-Girl’s training has made her particularly brutal and remorseless in combat. Her physicality and skill set are virtually unmatched by any character, and is individually the most powerful character in the Kick-Ass universe.

Sal Bertolinni / Colonel Stars and Stripes

pop 3

Sal started out as a soldier for the Genovese crime family, working alongside his brother Lieutenant Stripes. Then at some point, both brothers found religion and decided to repent for their crimes. Inspired by Kick-Ass, they formed the Justice Forever team and set out to clean up the city as superheroes.

Doctor Gravity

pop 4

After Kick-Ass became a cultural phenomenon, Doctor Gravity was inspired to become superhero and patrol the street of New York City. He is first introduced going on patrol with Kick-Ass, where he claims to be a physics professor armed with a gravity pole that can make someone twenty times their weight. However, he later reveals that this is false and his gravity pole is just a baseball bat wrapped in tinfoil.

Miranda Swedlow / Night-Bitch

pop 5

Night Bitch is one of the new superheroes that was inspired by Kick-Ass and the rise of the other Superheroes. She claims to be a holy citizen when in reality she dresses the most provocatively of all the superheros of the entire group of Justice Forever.
