Jurassic World Superbowl Spot Review

Everyone looks forward to the commercials and the movie spots during the Superbowl and this year and we’ve got one of the popular TV Spots in Jurassic World to look forward to. Well we give you our 2 cents worth on the trailer.

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar, off Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This new park is owned by the Masrani Global Corporation. Owen (Chris Pratt), a member of the park’s on-site staff, conducts behavioral research on the Velociraptors. At the corporation’s request, the park’s geneticists create the Indominus Rex, a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, to boost visitor attendance, but it soon breaks loose and runs wild on the island, forcing the staff to consider unique measures to stop it.

Well this TV spot doesn’t exactly give us a whole lot more footage but it does add a lot of scare factor. I think that was what went missing after “The Lost World” and “Jurassic Park 3”. This new reboot of sorts adds that thrill we craved since 1994. Sure, we aren’t exactly amazed with the CGI, after all we’ve kinda gotten used to it but that same sense of adventure is back with this new “Jurassic World” and what a great actor they’ve cast in Chris Pratt.

Gotta say there’s a lot of nostalgia with this trailer. You sense they pretty much took the same scenes from the 1994 original and give it a more hi-tech look with the vehicles.

Jurassic World opens in cinemas June 2015
