Jimmy Eat World is an alternative rock band from Mesa, Arizona formed in 1993. The band members include Jim Adkins (lead vocals & guitar), Rick Burch (bass), Zach Lind (percussion) and Tom Linton (guitar & backup vocals). The band's commerical breakthrough came in 2001 with their album "Bleed American" which had the single "The Middle" hit number one on the charts. The band followed up with another successful album," Futures" in 2004 with the single "Pain" also hitting number one.
Both albums were RIAA certified platinum for "Bleed America" and gold for "Futures". With one and half million records sold between them, the band released "Chase This Light" in 2007. "Chase This Light" was the band's highest charting album hitting number five on the Billboard 200 and included singles "Big Casino" and "Always Be".
Invented, the sixth full‐length album by Jimmy Eat World, contains the signature big hooks and sing‐along melodies for which the band has become famous. Fans of the band’s older hits like "The Middle", "Sweetness", and "Pain" will find lots to grab onto…and those same fans will be happy to learn that Mark Trombino, who served as a producer on the band’s first three albums "Static Prevails", "Clarity" and "Bleed American", is again at the helm for "Invented". While the music is classic Jimmy Eat World, the lyrics come from a completely different place than ever before.
