IL VOLO’s First Showcase In Singapore

The 3 Italian teenagers who took the world by storm with their voices, IL VOLO are in town as they had their first showcase at the Fullerton Hotel. The band was presented a GOLD AWARD plaque for their amazing album sales in Singapore by Sandy Monteiro, President of Universal Music Group, South East Asia. Over a short period of one month since its release date in June 2011, the Band has already sold over 5000 copies of their debut album.

The trio was welcomed on stage with ecstatic applause and awed cheers continued through-out the night as they sang 5 songs from their self-titled debut album, including favorites like 'Il Mondo' and 'O Sole Mio', and brought the crowd to an all-time high with an intense acapella as an encore.

Piero Barone (18 years old), Gianluca Ginoble (17 years old) and Ignazio Boschetto (17 years old) left the audience wanting more and also surprised the fans with their new favourite phrase, 'Wo Ai Ni' which means 'I Love You' in Chinese.

IL VOLO’s private showcase was presented by Gold 90.5FM, Symphony 92.4FM, Subaru and SingTel Amped with the boys also making a special appearance on the President’s Star Charity this Sunday, 31st July from 7.30PM.
