Brace yourselves, gamers and pop-culture lovers, as Asiasoft takes International Cosplay Day Singapore (ICDS) by storm this August!
An epic collaboration between the premier game publisher and ICDS organizers Neo Tokyo Project will see Asiasoft showcasing Blizzard Entertainment’s Heroes of the Storm™, a free-toplay online team brawler that features iconic heroes from more than 20 years of Blizzard games.
Ten demo stations powered by Aftershock Custom Gaming Laptops will be set up for convention goers to brawl to their hearts’ content.
Asiasoft will also be presenting internationally renowned cosplayer Kamui’s appearance at ICDS. Hailed as one of the world’s finest costume makers, Kamui has wowed global audiences with her elaborate cosplay costumes, many of which are inspired by Blizzard games. She was also last year’s grand champion in the BlizzCon® Costume Contest, and will be guest judging as well as hosting an armor making panel at ICDS.
“Pop-culture isn’t just about anime and manga. Gaming is an integral part of the pop-culture mix, and it’s increasingly apparent that there’s a paradigm shift towards gaming,” said Mr. Jason Koh, account director of Neo Tokyo Project. “We are committed to spearheading this thrust to create a more inclusive convention where cosplayers and pop-culture fans who also game can engage with the publishers they love.”
“Neo Tokyo Project has been a great partner to Asiasoft, supporting our launch events by crafting and wearing beautiful costumes modeled after characters from Blizzard Entertainment games,” said Christine Lay, Marketing Lead of Blizzard products in Asiasoft Singapore. “We believe this year’s International Cosplay Day Singapore will be better than ever and we look forward to showcasing Heroes of the Storm to the gamers attending ICDS.”
International Cosplay Day Singapore (ICDS) 2014 will take place at *SCAPE on 24 August 2014 (Sunday) from 11 am to 8 pm. Into its third year, the convention will transform three levels of the mall into a dedicated popculture playground featuring anime, gaming and manga content.
