Furious 7 Superbowl Spot Review

Everyone looks forward to the commercials and the movie spots during the Superbowl and this year it was no different with Furious 7 taking one of the lead spots for most watched TV Spot. Well we give you our 2 cents worth on the trailer.

Furious 7 is set to take place after Fast & Furious 6. After defeating Owen Shaw and his crew, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) and the rest of the crew are able to return to the United States and live the normal life again as they had wanted, but Owen’s older brother, Ian Shaw (Jason Statham), is after Dominic, seeking revenge for the death of his brother, putting the entire crew in danger once more. After learning of Han’s death, the crew sets out to find the man who killed one of their own, before he finds them first.

It’s great to see all the subtle tributes to Paul Walker from the trailer to this TV Spot. Obviously Vin Diesel will shoulder more of the action scenes and lead the film but it’s good to see that Dwayne Johnson has a prominent role in the film. This after it was rumored that his role would be limited due to scheduling conflicts.

Remember that scene in Fast 6 on the highway where Vin Diesel jumps to catch Michelle Rodriquez and then lands so perfectly on the windshield of a car? Yeah….the ridiculousness continues with that car jumping from one building to another. I mean it does not make sense at all……….but we’re all gonna watch it just cause!
