Football Fever reached an all time high here in Singapore with the Singapore Selection vs Juventus Football Club match held on 16 August 2014 and Epson, a world leader in digital imaging and printing solutions, had a huge part in this with a series of community and social media activities.
As a Platinum Sponsor for the Singapore Selection vs Juventus Football Club, Epson rolled out a series of off-line and online activities to engage their partners and soccer fans here in Singapore. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, 20 children from Lakeside Children’s Home, one of Epson’s supported beneficiaries, had the opportunity to be a part of an exclusive football clinic with the Juventus players and coaches from SportCares Foundation to pick up football tips.
As a leading technology player, treats were in store for tech-savvy football fans, as Epson launched an extensive series of Facebook contests between June and August, with overwhelming response. Prizes include exclusive passes to watch the open training session, passes to get autographs with the Juventus players, match day tickets, and an exclusive meet & greet session with the Juventus Football Club players.
Exciting Activities Even Before The Match Day
The Juventus Football Club Asia Pacific Tour 2014 Singapore Junior Football Clinic was held on Friday, 15 August, at the National Stadium. Partnering with SportCares Foundation, the football clinic saw 20 kids aged between 12 – 14 years old from Lakeside Children’s Home, Epson’s beneficiary, training under the guidance of SportCares Foundation’s coaches and Juventus Football Club players over five football stations.
Football Fever Ignites on Live Match Day
The Live Match Day also saw an exclusive meet-and-greet session for selected fans, as well as pre-match activities at the new Sports Hub, which welcomes its first football match since its construction. A group of Lucky fans had an exclusive meet-and-greet session with some of the Juventus Football Club players. Epson’s latest L-series ink tank printers (L1300 and L1800) were also on hand to print vivid photographs for the players to autograph on.
Fans also had the chance to “step” into the jerseys of the Juventus players and capture the moment at a special Epson photo booth inside Gate 3 & 15. Live-sized standees were also available for shutterbugs to take pictures in. Once the photos were taken, they were printed on-the-spot with a series of Epson printers, with compliments from Epson, using Epson’s L-series ink tank system printers (the L1300, L1800 and L800) and Epson Stylus photo printers (TX720WD).
This sponsorship is in line with Epson’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) outreach efforts to give back to the community and youth development, promote football through technology, and engage its customers and partners via high-profile platforms.
