I Think I Better Start Learning How To Eat Kimchi

When me and Elliott first started POPCulture Online, I was always happy to be the one behind the camera taking the photos of stars cos well I got the bigger camera so it made sense. To be honest, I never did mind not being the one to meet the stars or interview them as long as I am the one taking the shots.

Meeting Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Yoona and Seohyun from Girls Generation

Somehow things started to change as the POPCulture Online team grew bigger with photographers coming on board. This freed me up to do more front line work like interviewing various personalities like famous cosplayers, prolific artist and even up and coming music bands.

Yet nothing and I do mean NOTHING prepared me for the moment that I would be meeting two of Korea’s biggest Girl Groups in one night. Yup I am referring to Girls Generation and 2NE1 which you can read about in this month’s issue of POPCulture Online. I guess I better start learning to appreciate Korea food more as my Spotify playlist starts to fill up with K-Pop songs.

Rounding up the issue is the Nerf Powerplay where it is all about Nerf Blasters and the crowning of a new champion. Fans of Singapore’s favorite army boys, the cast from Ah Boys To Men would also want to check out the article where Tosh Zhang, Noah Yap, Wang Wei Liang, Charlie Goh and Maxi Lim turned up to play some nerf.

Phew… this is definitely one super star packed issue.

Oh yes and I should get back to my Kimchi eating!

Cheers,
Kenneth Wong
