Every actor deserves a second chance at being a superhero. This year we have 2 actors taking that chance. One is Ben Affleck as Batman and the other is Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool / Wade Wilson.
How does he fair? Does he redeem himself?
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool.
Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Gosh where do I start? This is like THE MOST AWESOME Movie of the year!
The feeling I got from the opening titles was like being in a video game where nothing is supposed to make sense. You’re just looking to have fun.
Ryan Reynolds was born to play the role and he doesn’t fail to entertain. There’s not a moment where you’d be bored or where the plot slows down because this is a straight forward film. I think it’s great too that the studio added a few X-Men characters to show a bigger universe.
The M18 rating also plays into the productions’ hands not just because of Deadpool’s mannerisms but also it doesn’t have to waste time explaining who’s who or how come there are so many people in this mutant universe. You can get straight into it. Even the explaining of Deadpool’s origins wasn’t draggy at all.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Honestly you should stop reading this and just go watch the movie!
