Welcome to world of Marvel Heroes. This month the first Avenger and pretty much a prequel to the 2012 Avengers movie of sorts is Captain America.
Let's get ti know the characters surrounding the Star Spaggled man a little bit better before you head to the cinema to catch the film.
Steve Rogers / Captain America
Steve Rogers is a frail kid from Brooklyn who wants to do his part for the war effort. After being rejected from military service numerous times because of his physical condition, Steve is recruited by Dr. Abraham Erskine for an experimental program called Project Rebirth. Erskine is looking for an ideal candidate; he selects Steve for his value of strength and compassion.
The Rebirth process successfully transforms Steve Rogers into a Super-Soldier capable of incredible strength, speed, and agility, known as Captain America.

Howard Stark is a brilliant and famous inventor that is lending his time and resources to the Strategic Scientific Reserve. He is the founder of Stark Industries. Howard will also one day be father to Tony Stark.

Johann Schmidt is the leader of HYDRA, a deep science organization devoted to taking over the world by force. Schmidt, a brilliant scientist in his own right, realized the vast potential of Dr. Erskine’s formula. He forced Erskine to give him the first dose of the Super-Soldier serum. However, the side effects of the serum turned Johann into a disfigured and corrupt version of himself: The Red Skull.

Dr. Abraham Erskine is the scientist behind the discovery of the Super-Soldier serum. His groundbreaking work is highly sought after by governments and organizations around the world.
