Besides searching for ‘The Fittest Man and The Fittest Woman in Singapore’, ELITE 2015 also serves as a fitness community gathering, with spectator events such as the EPN Powerlifting Demo by national powerlifting champion Derrick Kim and also mass workouts like HIIT with sports host Kelly Latimer.
ELITE 2015 hopes to give a purpose to people’s training. Many start exercising and going to the gym because they feel guilty for indulging, but there is also another group who enjoys training but occasionally hit a wall and faces a lack of motivation.

Kicking off on 19 April, Round 1 will be a sheer test of endurance, where athletes will be put through events of metabolic conditioning. At Round 2 on 19 July, athletes will be tested on their sheer strength with Olympic weightlifting in the morning and powerlifting in the afternoon. A separate Olympic Weightlifting Meet will also be held. Finally, the Top 12 from the Men’s Open and Women’s Open, as well as the Top 6 Teams, will move on to the Grand Final on 18 October where both endurance and strength will be tested.
