5. She loves Tom Hanks

She had a huge crush on Tom Hanks growing up after seeing him in the movie Splash. As luck would have it, she later starred in Hanks’ directorial debut, That Thing You Do!

4. She watched a lot of US TV

She says she learnt to speak with the American accent by watching US movies and TV shows and singing along to American songs on the radio.

3. She had teeth problems

Shockingly, Theron hasn’t always found it easy to feel beautiful. She revealed that, as a young child, she was given antibiotics to treat her jaundice, which caused all of her baby teeth to rot. Theron had those teeth removed and her permanent teeth didn’t grow in until the age of 11

2. She’s not ready for marriage

Charlize has stated she will only want to get married once gay marriage has been legalized across the US.

1. She and Tom Hardy didn’t get along on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road

In an interview, Charlize Theron revealed that she and co-star Tom Hardy would frequently butt heads during production.

From what I hear, he’s not like that on every movie—I hear he’s had good experiences. Maybe the movie is what it is because we struggled so much with each other, and those characters had to struggle so much with each other. If we were chum-chum, maybe the movie would have been 10 times worse.
